Union UMC (Union, OR) celebrated the end of an era on Sunday, May 26. We give thanks for the generations of faithful ministry that happened in this building and by the grace of God working through the people who called Union their church home.

The nonprofit Friends of the Historic Union Community Hall has agreed to purchase the United Methodist Church in Union. If the nonprofit organization can come up with the $275,000 for the property, the church chapel will remain a place of worship or for weddings and funerals.

Friends of The Historic Union Community Hall is now a 501 (c) 3!

The Friends of The Union Community Hall is now an official 501 (c) 3!

We will soon be able to accept donations for funding the purchase of the Union United Methodist Church from the Oregon-Idaho Methodist Church Conference. 


This will be a long process but our group is excited about the support emanating from the community of Union Oregon!  Look back here ( or see our Facebook) for more information about donations to purchase this beautiful historic building.

170 Signatures Obtained by Union Residents to Create a Community Center!

In an effort to gain support, Union residents gathered 170 signatures.  The signature drive occurring over a six day period was a community wide endeavor to  bring awareness to the Oregon-Idaho Methodist Church Conference around the Community interest to save the Union United Methodist Church. 

The effort work and the Methodist Church Conference is aware of the fact the Union residents would like to see the historic building develop into a community center! 

The next step is the gathering of earnest money to purchase the building!!
